Creepy Open Casket on Google Street View

Okay so I bet you’ve all seen the various bizarre google street view images but this one has a followup.

With many images I often wonder what happened?

So the story goes this coffin was unearthed during Hurricane Katrina.

This cemetery is located outside of New Orleans and in an area that flooded during the storm.

Just when you thought it could not get any stranger the local coroner reburied the corpse and discarded the coffin nearby in a heavily wooded area.

I would imagine the conversation went something like this:

So boss what do we do with the coffin? Coffin, I don’t know throw it in the woods?
